The Hungry Fox and the Juicy Grapes

Once upon a time, it was a beautiful afternoon filled with golden sunshine. A fox was strolling in the forest, lost in his foxy antics. As he walked, he realized that he was feeling hungry and thirsty. He thought, "Why not sit under the shade of a tree and enjoy my lunch."

But then he remembered that he had forgotten his delicious lunch at home!

"Oh! How can I be so forgetful?" he said to himself.

Then his eyes fell on a tree. There, hanging from a high branch, swinging gently in the breeze, he saw some juicy grapes. Those grapes were so shiny and attractive that his hunger increased even more. His eyes sparkled.

"Wow! These look so delicious. I want these grapes at any cost!" he said excitedly.

But the grapes were at a very high height. The fox jumped, but his paws could not reach the grapes. She turned back and ran and jumped with all her might, but the result was the same – the grapes were still far away.

After trying several times, when the fox was completely exhausted, she gave up and sat down under the tree.

"What a fool I am!" she grumbled angrily. "Torturing myself for these sour grapes in such heat. Who will eat such sour grapes?"

Then she wagged her tail and headed home.

And this is how we learn, dear children, that when we don't get something, we sometimes try to convince ourselves that we didn't want it in the first place. Just like our fox!
